GreenEdge – 1st Press Release

We’re proud to share that our project GreenEdge has just published new research on EPALE!

The study, carried out across six European countries as part of the Erasmus+ project GREENEDGE, looks at how well higher education prepares learners for sustainable entrepreneurship and the green economy. Drawing on the perspectives of students, educators and entrepreneurs, it uncovers a clear mismatch between the skills the green economy demands and what education currently delivers.

Among the key takeaways: a strong need for hands-on, real-life learning; growing demand for critical and ethical AI competencies; and broad enthusiasm for innovative approaches like micro-credentials, challenge-based learning, gamification and virtual incubation.

We’re glad to be part of this work to close the green skills gap across Europe.
