Topics: Inclusion, Promoting equality, Non-discrimination
Project Description
Beyond Fear addresses the urgent issue of gender-based violence and workplace harassment, which continue to undermine women’s safety, rights, and well-being despite legal and corporate progress. These abuses, which can range from bullying, mobbing, and isolation to unwanted advances, sexist comments, and blackmail, cause psychological harm and reduce workplace productivity, while many victims and employers lack the tools to address them.
The project provides innovative solutions through practical resources such as a training curriculum, a MOOC, and a Digital Self-Assessment Tool. These empower women, raise awareness among managers, and support companies in developing effective policies and procedures to prevent and respond to violence. By fostering safe, inclusive, and equitable workplaces, Beyond Fear promotes long-term cultural change, aligns with EU priorities on gender equality and workplace safety, and offers adaptable tools with cross-country impact. Our goal is to build a future where every woman can work with dignity and security.

Our role
As leader of WP3, Smart Education Hub coordinates the design, development, and piloting of the Beyond Fear training programme. SEH oversees planning, workflow organisation, and the creation of a Learning Outcomes Framework aligned with EQAVET standards to ensure quality and recognition of skills. It coordinates the development of six blended-learning modules, integrating online and face-to-face activities, which will be validated through external expert reviews and piloted with 90 women workers across partner countries. SEH also leads outreach activities, engaging at least 120 participants through structured strategies and partnerships with women’s organisations and stakeholders.
Impact
Beyond Fear will strengthen the capacity of participating organisations, including SEH, to prevent and address gender-based violence in the workplace. By integrating the training curriculum, MOOC, and Digital Self-Assessment Tool into their programmes, partners will enhance staff skills in adult education, awareness, and victim support. Target groups (workers, managers, trainers, and young professionals) will gain practical competences to recognise, prevent, and manage workplace violence, fostering cultural change and empowering individuals to act as promoters of respect and inclusion.
At local and national levels, SMEs, NGOs, and institutions will benefit from innovative resources to improve prevention policies and practices, while strategic collaborations will ensure long-term sustainability. At European level, the project supports gender equality and workplace safety policies, ensuring wide dissemination of resources through platforms such as EPALE and Erasmus+. Beyond Fear will thus generate immediate benefits and long-term structural change.
